Love is in the air

Did you happen to notice yesterday was Valentine's Day? We actually had a great day all hanging out as a family, but Emma did ask, "So what do we get?" Damn commercialism. Grandma M had sent the girls' a Valentine's Day care package, so they got their fill of sweets. I did have a card for each of them, and 90% of the food items they ate yesterday were heart-shaped or red/pink. I encourage everyone to buy the cheap set of multi-sized heart shaped cookie cutters--Valentine's Day is a snap when you have those around. They did look at me funny when I put chocolate/pink/red sprinkles in their applesauce--I thought it was cute!

Today is hubby's mom and dad's 40th wedding anniversary, so we are thinking of them today. They are vacationing in Florida right now, so hopefully they are celebrating in a special way today. We feel so blessed that we each have parents who have been together 40 year (my parents will celebrate theirs in July). What a wonderful example of marriage we have to follow--we only hope we can last 40 years and more together!

Happy Anniversary, Dan and Betty!

p.s. Tomorrow is my 1 year blogaversary--any cool ideas on what to do?

John's parents look very young for 40 years! Did they get married when they were 10?

No ideas on the blog anniversary. I started mine, didn't do anything for a few months, and then picked it up. I don't know which I consider my anniversary.
